tadaima

Last week my dear friend and photographer Annemarieke van Drimmelen had her very personal, breath taking photography show tadaima in her home in Brooklyn. Dorothea Barth-Jorgensen came all the way from LA to our tiny village in the south of Holland to edit this beautiful film she shot of Annemarieke. So with a new friend I edited this small portret of our shared ‘old’ friend at my kitchen table. But it is more than just a portret of one woman, it is about the feminine, and how we all feel we’re shifting towards a new (or maybe very ancient) form of the feminine. Something so vivid, alive, strong and true that rises inside of us, that can be scary at times and powerful at others. That is taking us over, guiding us and showing us all these opportunities of something truly fresh and new. Not just for women, but for all the beings on our earth.
