wild woman

The days are getting shorter over here. Darkness is surrounding us and so many people, especially women, are collapsing right now under the weight of what they try to do and who they try to be. They say crisis. I say transformation. Into someone better, wholehearted and true. Life will never be the same again, and though it scares you now, you will spend the rest of your life being thankful for it.

“The modern woman is a blur of activity. Pressured to be all things to all people.” Clarissa Pinkola Estes wrote.  And she was right. I see the same patterns everywhere, women (and yes some men too) who made themselves perfect, lovable, pretty and successful. But their soul is in wild revolt, the soul needs purity and space and being listened to. We have become perfect in denying who we really are and giving ourselves away and that hurts more than anything else. It is panic, dispair, burnout. We all have a wild woman inside of us who knows. Who we can trust, who is the keeper of life and death and wisdom. We just forgot.

Every human being has his own journey through the whole range of life’s colors and emotions. When the darkness covers us like a blanket, we have to lit the light in our own hearts and let it shine as bright as we possibly can. The light that can only shine from our wild, original soul and has the power to light up and entire world. When people go through a hard time, I try to remember that I cannot help them, I can only love them to let them remember.
