Since I read this book a couple of weeks ago, Rue has made a home in me. I feel Rue has reached out from a future through time and space to writer Margaret Elphinstone, who found the right words to reach us all. She wrote the book that has touched and changed me more than any other in the last ten years. I hope you will read it and let things move deep inside of you that seemed stuck until now.
Here’s a story that holds deep healing properties that are alive in the natural world and within the soul. Opening up new spaces of hope and yes, the future. This story calls on who we can become, on a possibility to become anciently new, when the chaos settles. Something to nurture.

In a near future, the child Rue finds solace in the garden of a mysterious community. Rue has lost identity, family, home and people to war. Too much has happened for Rue to trust others, but connection with the rest of the living world is not lost.
